As an introvert who survives on podcasts while working from home, I was both excited and nervous to step behind the microphone as a guest on Lisa Spencer’s “Real Estate Common Sense.” Lisa’s second-season theme, The Real Estate Dream Team, was the perfect setting to share how transaction coordinators help agents streamline deals and elevate the client experience.

During our conversation, I explained the unique role transaction coordinators play in building strong, referral-worthy businesses. Here are the key takeaways:
1. Passion for Impact
I transitioned from teaching to real estate nine years ago and quickly discovered how rewarding it is to guide transactions from contract to close. Supporting agents and clients through life-changing moves gives my work purpose and keeps me motivated every day.
2. How Transaction Coordinators Help Agents
Transaction coordinators provide proactive, start-to-finish support so agents can focus on client relationships and new business. From contract deadlines and compliance to communication with lenders and attorneys, we manage the details that protect the deal and the agent’s time.
3. Communication Is Everything
Smooth closings depend on clear, consistent communication. I encouraged agents to include their transaction coordinator on all key emails, clarify expectations at the start, and share timely updates whenever plans shift.
4. Clear Boundaries Protect Everyone
While a transaction coordinator is a powerful partner, the agent remains responsible for negotiations, approvals, and core client interactions. Defined roles ensure nothing falls through the cracks and clients receive the highest level of service.
5. Gratitude Fuels Great Work
I’m grateful for our team’s positive work ethic and for the personal blessings—like the joy of being a grandmother—that keep me grounded and inspired.
Being a podcast guest was a stretch for me, southern accent and all, but the chance to explain how transaction coordinators help agents made every moment worthwhile. If even one agent walks away ready to build a stronger dream team and communicate more effectively with a TC, I’ll consider it a success.
