Each month, we review the contracts submitted to Right Hand Real Estate Services to see what our agents and their clients are experiencing. Here is what stood out in June.
Conventional Financing Reached Its Highest Percentage Since 2022

Conventional loans accounted for 67.3% of our June contracts, the highest percentage we have seen since October 2022, when conventional financing accounted for 77%. Does this mark a significant shift back toward traditional financing methods in the Georgia market?
Cash or no-financing contracts represented another 18.2%, followed by VA, FHA, and USDA financing. Does this distribution show a steady preference for conventional loans among buyers or are FHA, USDA and VA buyers too squeezed in the current market? What are you seeing in your deals?
Terminations and Seller Possession Increased

Our termination rate increased to 30%. Of the contracts that terminated, 61% ended under due diligence, and 28% involved buyer financing denial. The remaining terminations resulted from mutual agreement or a contingent property that did not sell.
More than half of the financing denials occurred after the financing contingency had expired and were classified in our tracking as buyer defaults. This trend highlights the challenges some buyers face in securing final loan approval despite initial progress.
Seller possession after closing also increased to 12%, the highest percentage we have seen since April 2025. This means more sellers are remaining in the property after closing, which can affect move-in timelines and post-sale arrangements.
Our other June numbers included an average due diligence period of 6.9 days and an average contract price equal to 98% of the final list price. (We don't track price reductions.)
3,175 Agent Hours Saved

Through June 30, our transaction coordinator team has saved our agents an estimated 3,175 hours in 2026. That is time our agents could spend serving clients, generating business, or simply not managing every transactional detail themselves.
